D+P Real Estate and Truthbox Architects, Parcel 6 features 62 residential units, 31 of which are reserved for workforce households with income between 80% and 120% AMI. Built on the open land from the relocation of I- 195, the development includes a 13,000 square foot Trader Joe’s, the first large grocery store of its kind in Downtown Providence, and an additional 10,000 square feet of space for commercial and retail purposes. Parcel 6 is a successful economic and residential addition to Downtown Providence and a key element of the neighborhoods’ revitalization. Funding for this project came from a variety of sources including RI Tax Credit Bridge Loan, and RIHousing Workforce Housing Program funds
