JOSEPH CAFFEY APARTMENTS & JORDAN CAFFEY TOWNHOMES, Providence

Developed by Omni Development Corporation and Wingate Capital Partners, the Joseph Caffey Apartments and Jordan Caffey Townhomes project includes the  redevelopment of the former Barbara Jordan II development into 79 units of affordable housing in Upper South Providence. Once completed, all units will be affordable to residents earning between 30% to 80% AMI  within a 54-unit four-story building and  townhouse-style apartments. Informed by an extensive community engagement process and community input, there will be additional community improvements such as community and office space, increased greenery, and space for community service providers. Financing for the project includes an array of funding sources, including both 4% and 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), construction and permanent financing from RIHousing, Citizens Bank, and the Providence Redevelopment Authority.
