Government & Non-Profits

RIHousing is a self-supporting public agency created by the General Assembly in 1973 to provide financing to increase the supply of affordable housing for families with low or moderate incomes.

Help for constituents

In order for residents to become active, contributing members of their communities, they need to feel confident and secure in their homes. RIHousing provides a wide range of products and services to help homeowners, renters and landlords afford their homes.

We’ve pulled together the information you need to help residents and constituents connect with services and programs to help them find a safe and healthy home to rent or buy.

Need data?

We strive to share the most relevant current housing information and reports.

We work closely with the non-profit community on a variety of initiatives and special programs, including the preservation and development of affordable homes.

RI Continuum of Care (RICoC)

This rental assistance is supported by annual grants awarded by HUD to specific projects funded under the CoC program.

First Look

RIHousing’s Real Estate Owned purchase program for non-profit partners. The automated system provides nonprofit purchasers with the advantage of taking a “first look” at our available properties before they are marketed to the public.
