The Eviction Prevention Assistance Program is now closed. The funding for this program has been depleted and additional funding is not expected.
If you have applied for assistance and have not received an approval email, your case has been closed and it is no longer being considered. You will need to make other arrangements to address your rental obligation.
We encourage you to work with your landlord to come to an agreed upon solution. If you have a pending eviction hearing, we encourage you reach out as soon as possible to RI Legal Services (401-274-2652) and/or The Center for Justice (401-491-1101) for legal assistance if you have not already done so.
If you are a renter struggling to make your rent and/or utility payments, you should reach out to United Way 2-1-1, a 24/7 social and human services helpline that offers free and confidential referrals to programs and services throughout the state. Dial 2-1-1 for immediate assistance from a specialist or visit their website for more information.
For those experiencing homelessness, please call the Rhode Island Coordinated Entry hotline at 401-277-4316.
For questions on an existing approved/paid case please email epri@rihousing.com. Please allow 48 hours for a response.
